Ten things you can do to prevent Estero mold from growing inside your home

Fifth; insulate all cold water pipes in potentially warm places. This will prevent “sweating” and wet materials will support Estero Mold Damage growth. If your home is older consider a re- pipe to prevent pin-hole water leaks behind your walls.

Eighth; Keep warm moist air out of your home. Seal all wall penetrations and outlet and switch covers, calk all windows and door, replace sweeps on exterior doors, Keep the air moving in your home. Run ceiling fans on low. On cooler dry days open all the doors and windows and use nature to dry out everything.
Ninth; Move all furniture and book case 4 inches away from walls so that air can circulate behind the furniture. Hang pictures and mirrors so that some air can get behind the hanging. Opt for tiled floors wherever possible, carpet traps and holds humidity.
And Tenth; Do an inspection of the under sink and vanity cabinets. Sniff the air. If you smell a musty smell it may be the beginnings of Estero mold growth. Look for staining on the ceilings and walls. Inspect the base boards and crown moldings.
